Wandered into her first yoga class after running her first half marathon. The act of running had helped give back the freedom and joy that postpartum had taken from her. But as much as she loved it, her knees constantly hurt. At the urging of her runner friends and not wanting to lose her momentum, she decided to give hot yoga a try. Wary, and honestly with a bit of an ego, she entered a steamy studio to see what all the fuss was about.
She was immediately hooked–on all of it! The community, as well as, the mental and physical benefits. It was what she had been searching for since her high school sports days. But teaching? What would that mean for her? Well, it would mean a lot.
One of the things that she learned was that yoga is truly a gift–and gifts are meant to be shared. After completing her teacher training she wondered how she could make this gift more accessible. She thought of all the things that keep people from doing yoga. Time. Space. Energy. A bit of apprehension. Maybe even committing to down dog in a room full of strangers. So she thought, “What if we brought the gift to them?” Then, in a stroke of luck, in wandered Preci, who shared this same vision. Over coffee on a rainy day, Wander was created.

Wandered into yoga when her mom took her to her first hot yoga class as a teenager. At the time she was a company dancer, and found yoga to be an extension of her love for fluid body movement. She spent most of her first class in child's pose...shocked at how challenging and hot the class was. She continued to take class and quickly fell in love with developing her physical and spiritual yoga practice.
Down the road she found herself overcoming severe burnout from working in the healthcare space, and with that developed unexpected health complications. Feeling lost and out of touch with herself, she decided to finally take the time to do a yoga teacher training program, something that was always on her “bucket list.” Through her training she found herself re-connecting to her inner strength, overcoming burnout, and finding her true purpose as a yoga teacher.
She made it her mission to help guide all through a practice that offers a meditative escape from their busy modern lives, and connect to their strength, as she has been able to do.
As her training came to an end, she felt a strong urge to continue her journey as a teacher and within the yoga community. She wanted to bring this gift into peoples lives in exciting new ways. So, she connected with her fellow yogi, Asheton, and together they launched Wander.
